Bicester Sculpture Group

Activities

Tuition:

Tuition is available on Tuesdays during term for learning the techniques of building armatures, welding, wood-carving, mold-making, casting and patination of sculptures.

Exhibitions:

The Bicester Scupture Group exhibited to the public during Oxfordshire ArtWeeks. We didn't exhibit in 2009 but will be back in 2010. A large number of visitors always admire "a diverse exhibition of exciting sculpture, from portraiture to abstract, in media from steel to clay".

In August 2008 the group created a sculpture walk commissioned by Sutton Courtney Environmental Education Centre. The sculptures depicted aspects of nature and man's interaction with nature. Eleven sculptors participated submitting around sixteen pieces.
