Anne Backhouse Personal Page

Anne has worked from life in clay, taken courses in England and Tuscany in stone carving, and cold cast in bronze resin. After working directly in plaster, she was introduced to Fibrocem which is more durable than plaster and weathers well outside. She is now working in different medium - ciment fondu on steel armature.

Anne's sculptures are mainly styalised forms, more imaginative than her clay work from life. She has also made several "Green Man" type heads in fired clay for garden walls.
