Glynis Shorten Personal Page

The artwork of Glynis is mainly figurative - human and animals. However she has become increasing fascinated with portraiture and has achieved a number of commissions. She loves the challenge of capturing the character behind the face, and has studied with Rosamund de Tracy Kelly and Jane Hamilton.

Although Glynis has had no formal art training and discovered her love of sculpture within the past 6 years, she has been a member of the Bicester Sculpture Group for the last 4 years.

Glynis develops her work in a variety of media: metal, stone, wire, stained glass, fibrocem and clay. She casts her own work in bronze resin.
