Sculpture has always been a life-time ambition, but with a busy family and professional life I was only able to start in earnest in September 2004 at the Sunningwell School of Art with Alison Jones.
As I became aware of my passion for sculpting I then attended several courses at West Dean with Jon Edgar. I then joined the Bicester Sculptor Group where I was able to experiment with different media, share inspiration with other artists and explore the various aspects of sculpture from the sensitivity and movement of the human form to humour in animals or the pleasing shape of fruits. I also attend Rosamund de Tracy Kelly’s classes and work from life. A recent course with Jane Hamilton was very useful to developing my portrait skills.I belong to the Bicester Sculpture Group, the Medical Art Society, the Surrey Sculpture Society and the Oxford Sculptors Group.
